The Art & Science of the Tooth
To relieve pain and to restore tooth and jaw function for as long as possible is the primary purpose of dentistry. Just as important is the esthetics, and how it looks in the patient. The goal of our clinic is to place importance on both factors and to give the patient a natural smile.
Magnification Loupe
Magnification loops are a necessity. It enables the dentist to look at areas in much detail where the naked eye cannot see. The precision level of dentistry in terms of accurate diagnosis and placing well-fitted restorations is greatly improved.
Anesthetic Procedure
By using a special hand-held electric syringe, the apparatus calculates the amount of anesthetic needed and injects it at a slow consistent speed allowing very minimal pain to the patient. Many patients including other dentists have commented that the procedure was almost painless.
Dental Materials
There are various types of materials used in dentistry today. The main material in our office when dealing with crowns is made from ceramic. Most of them are a metal-free based all ceramic crowns, while most of the fillings are made from a composite-ceramic hybrid material. Both materials have natural tooth color appearances, and function like a natural tooth. Depending on the case, the type of ceramic or hybrid material used may vary.
Emergency Visits
Our clinic does accept emergency calls during office hours. If the patient is in need of emergency dental care, the doctor will either perform a temporary treatment or, if needed, refer the patient to a specialist. Naturally, the patient must understand that there will be some waiting time involved before they can be seen. Since the dentist has both dental licenses of the U.S. and Japan, a patient from either country should feel at ease in terms of being treated in their native language and a manner that their dentist is familiar with. We are also able to write dental reports in the either Japanese or English, and fill out the overseas insurance forms as well as most domestic insurance forms upon request.
